Mission Statement
The Writer's mission is to publish an attractive and timely magazine that inspires, instructs and informs writers at all levels. We strive to live up to our cover statement: "An essential resource for writers." Our goal is to be the magazine of record in the field of writing and to continue the magazine's legacy, since 1887, as the most respected publication about writing.
The Writer seeks to cover all the major writing genres while maintaining the highest standards of writing, editing, accuracy and design. We strive to stay abreast of the needs of our readers and industry trends. We reach out to readers through conferences, our Web site and surveys.
